I painted this red rose late at night. The air was hot and humid, almost suffocating.

And yet I couldn't stop.

Every line and movement came from a longing and passion for a brief liaison that defied reason yet meant everything.

 

'Late Summer Night' marks the beginning of my 'La vie en rose' series and is an invitation to view life through rose-tinted glasses every now and again.

Detached from reason, just feeling and being.
