THE FLOWER SERIES
"LA VIE EN ROSE"
This series features large-format flower paintings with brightly colored motifs of magnolias, roses, and other flowers. It was created from the conviction that people, in their eventful lives, should pause from time to time and view life through "rose-colored glasses." Since Ly loves flowers above all else, she tries to capture the beauty of life and the feeling of happiness and carefreeness with large-format blossoms in oil paints on canvas: for herself and the viewer.
