LY PHAM SUTER

Ly Pham Suter is a Swiss artist of Vietnamese origin who lives and works in Fislisbach, near Baden, in the canton of Aargau. She began her artistic career in her youth, inspired by the Impressionists and Surrealists, with watercolour and acrylic painting. These genres have had a profound influence on her artistic work. She now works primarily with oil and acrylic paints on canvas, favouring large-format pieces that explore themes such as nature, humanity, and transience. Her emotionally charged works often incorporate floral motifs. Her careful selection of colours and precise application result in controlled, expressive fusions in rich compositions. Her art is inspired by and shaped through her interactions with people from all walks of life and her personal experiences. She expresses these through a symbolic yet emotional visual language. Each piece attempts to render the invisible visible, whether that be silent traumas, collective memories or inner strength.
